Detroit Chapter History<\/h1>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1749927087639{margin-top: 20px !important;}”]The Detroit Chapter was incorporated in 1976 with the vision of establishing and maintaining an effective communication device for the African-American manager. Our mission is to assist in the creation of intellectual and economic wealth within the African-American community.<\/p>\n

LauRyn Williams is a native of Chicago Illinois, she is an executive committed to the ideal that diversity of thought, culture and community enhance the workplace. She is an alumnus of the University of Michigan Dearborn where received her MBA and Master of Science in Finance. She is currently a CFP candidate planning to sit for the board exam in March of 2023. LauRyn is also a financial advisor with Prudential Advisors, where she brings almost two decades of professional workplace and investment industry experience.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=”1\/3″ background_position_desktop=”right top” background_position_tablet=”right bottom” background_style_tablet=”no-repeat”][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row full_width=”stretch_row” equal_height=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1749783550858{margin-top: 30px !important;margin-bottom: 40px !important;}”][vc_column css=”.vc_custom_1748497323952{background-position: center !important;background-repeat: no-repeat !important;background-size: cover !important;}”][vc_column_text css=””]Additionally, LauRyn Williams is CFO, and part owner of Mondo holdings, LLC, a real estate development interest and design-build construction firm; based in Detroit Michigan. In her role as a financial advisor, LauRyn has focused her work during the past decade on wealth management for multi-generation families, mass affluent households and small business owners, offering holistic financial planning approaches.<\/p>\n

LauRyn serves on multiple boards and committees that focus on social equity for professionals of color. She is currently President of the Detroit Chapter of The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA\u00ae). The NBMBAA\u00ae is a national organization focused on the advancement of management and business professionals that has been in existence for more than five decades and has 41 chapters nationwide.
\nShe also works as Corporate Relations Chair for Detroit Prospanica (formerly the National Society of Hispanic MBAs). She is a sitting committee member for Prudential\u2019s Black Leadership Forum (BLF), Executive Summit ERG, and an advisor participating in Prudential\u2019s inaugural launch of Blueprints for Black Wealth, a market focused initiative in collaboration with the Prudential Foundation.<\/p>\n

LauRyn works within the scope of her various roles and professional acumen to drive results, build relationships and serve clients through education, client engagement, professional networking, and community building.<\/p>\n

Her goals are to serve professional colleagues wholistically across her organizations, associations and those needing financial advice at various economic levels. She actively builds relationships with professionals and entrepreneurs of color in the metropolitan Detroit markets through NBMBAA\u00ae and as a Prudential advisor. The point where professional expertise and personal passions converge is her sweet spot.<\/p>\n

LauRyn competes in multiple sports including US Masters swimming, DRYA Sailing, USA Triathlon, golf, and tennis.
